Founded in August 1993, the Department of Fine Arts, National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU), has been an important training center for cultivating art, humanities, and education professionals in Southern Taiwan. While focusing on training art talents to be professionals equipped with the abilities of field practice and theoretical construction, the Department also dedicates itself to the integration of education and research with an interdisciplinary approach, and in the process significantly promotes the aesthetic ambience in the artistic community of Southern Taiwan. With the recognized achievement in nurturing the talents of contemporary arts, the Department will continue to work as one of the best institutions in the field of art education and artistic creation here in Taiwan.
